Off-grid  projects

Your future, self-powered

Montana’s wide-open spaces offer countless hidden getaways and places to live - many far beyond the reach of the traditional power grid. Harvest Solar specializes in customized off-grid power solutions to ensure you have reliable energy wherever you choose to call home. With extensive experience building off-grid systems across the state, our team brings a deep understanding of the off-grid lifestyle and the expertise to design systems that are both efficient, dependable and operational in Montana weather.

For off grid products, there is no one better than Victron Energy.
From the inverter/chargers, battery and solar charge controllers, battery monitoring systems, and the remote management and monitoring capabilities, each component is reliable and scalable. Many of our off grids are in extremely remote locations, and the ability to monitor, service, and troubleshoot systems without visiting the site saves customers time, money, and peace of mind.

Harvest Solar MT is also pleased to be partnered with Ecoflow, a leader in portable power stations, batteries, generators, power banks, and more. With the growth of campers, vans, RVs, and small, off-grid cabins, we’ve met numerous travelers and locals looking for guidance in gaining energy storage, small solar installs, or portable energy systems. We offer an experienced service in obtaining and installing the equipment needed by each individual, tailored to your needs and goals. We can also guide owners in the install and management of their equipment, so you can travel or be off grid with confidence.

By going through Harvest Solar MT to obtain Ecoflow products, you gain a professional distribution or install service and in-person guidance and education about product management. We also provide a 10-year warranty on all Ecoflow products as a certified distributor, instead of the regular 5-year warranty.

Take a look at some of the off-grid projects we’ve completed below.

Projects

Lighthiser

3.1 kW

This off-grid project was driven by a desire to be energy independent while also living a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle. Located along the beautiful Yellowstone River, the Lighthiser’s solar electric system was featured on DIY Network’s “Building Off the Grid” show.

Grizzly Bluff Lodge

13.6 kW solar, 45 kW generator

Located in Cooke City, Montana, this remote off-grid required 13.6kW of solar and 45kW generator. It is an absolute powerhouse and one of the largest off-grid systems in the state. It is a great example of how solar power can be used no matter where you live or what your energy needs are.
